Gracie has been on her medication for a few days now. She is doing well so far - praise God that she doesn't seem to be having any side effects at this time!
Poor Gracie - she was so anxious last week when our vet needed to take her blood pressure. We need this reading because one side effect of the med is elevated blood pressure. Gracie was so anxious that they couldn't get an accurate read. Our vet clinic is so awesome - they came to the house to get Gracie's BP in her environment! The BP needs to be taken regularly, so they are coming again later this week to the house to keep a consistent environment for measuring the BP. I know this is one of the services they provide, but I am so amazed that they are willing to do this for my little girl! Everyone at the clinic is so compassionate and supportive. We've been taking Gracie there since she was a puppy and each time we go, I cry on the way home because of how everyone there cares for our Girls. We have a one-in-a-million clinic!
Please continue to pray that this med will have little to no side effects and that it will be effective in iradicating any remaining cancer cells that might be in her system. Please give praise to God that she is happy and playful, eating like normal and doing well!
